Abstract

From Reddit’s sad alien to Twitter’s fail whale, iconic failure pages have become part of our culture. Instead of spending your time designing the next sensational fail page, invest in never needing one. This session will teach the continuous availability patterns used to deliver the web sites for some of the world’s largest sporting events, such as Wimbledon, The French Open, The Australian Open, The US Open, and The Masters.
Sampling of topics to be covered:

  • Designing for a multi-active and multi-region cloud environment
  • Build disaster avoidance – not disaster recovery
  • Best practices for continuous operations
