Abstract

You can build and run cloud native systems with applications running in Virtual Machines. We’ll discuss the cloud infrastructure capabilities and architectural patterns which enable resiliency, application isolation, scaling up/down, service endpoints and more. All with your existing applications running on VMs.

Brian Dorsey

Brian has worked as a Developer Relations Engineer for Google Cloud since 2012: from the beginnings of GCP VMs, through the rise of containers & Kubernetes, serverless, but keeps coming back to Virtual Machines. He taught Python at the University of Washington and is still learning Go. He enjoys recording audio in the forest and attempting to make music. Please say hello and let’s talk about VMs!
